Soliciting Trans Healthcare Papers

By All Means, Prove Me Wrong

Oh my—seems my latest article brought the gender critical/TERF elements out in force. This letter is for them:I’ve seen your science and I’ve found it lacking. In a few days, I’ll write a substack and systematically dismantle all the studies I’ve read that support your point of view. I may not be a scientist, but I know my way around an academic paper, and I know a flawed experiment or a too-small sample size when I see one.But I would hate to leave out evidence. Maybe there’s an academic paper out there that proves that gender-affirming care harms children and/or adults. And so I invite you, dear readers: send me whatever you’ve got. I’ll read all of them, and I’ll provide my analysis. All I ask is that the articles you send be peer-reviewed academic studies. I don’t have time to read a billion letters to the editor or thinkpieces. We’re doing science here.Just reply to this email with links. I don’t have any school affiliation right now so I can’t get past publication paywalls: if you could make it easy on me with a PDF or link to a nonpaywalled version of the article, I would appreciate it.Scientifically yours,-Laura
